PAY DUES ONLINE Note: Credit card payments for dues will be accepted beginning June 1, 2005. All payments will be subject to the following OVRCC policies. Members wishing to make a payment using their credit card must accept these policies prior to processing a payment.
Processing Policy: Please note, your credit card will be charged at the time of purchase. However, your payment still needs to manually be posted to the ULTRA system in order for your dues to be current. All payments received by 2PM EST on regular business days (M-F) will be processed by the Ohio & Vicinity Regional Council of Carpenters and forwarded to the local financial secretaries the same day they are received. All payments received after 2PM EST or on weekends and holidays will be processed and forwarded to the local financial secretaries the following business day. Therefore, to ensure that a payment is posted to ULTRA by the last business day of the month, we request that you pay your dues on line prior to 2pm on the last day of the month. Additionally, all payments are subject to approval by the credit card company. If a payment you enter is rejected by the credit card company you will be notified by email and ULTRA will not be updated. Any rejected payments may result in processing delays as well as late fees.
Refund Policy: All refunds must be processed directly by the local unions. Any request for refund should be made to your local union financial secretary. Once a refund has been approved by a local union, that local will cut a check to the member for the refund amount. Suspended Members: Suspended members must contact their local financial secretary in person. The amount owed by a suspended member will vary depending on whether or not the suspended member has to rejoin as a new member or can be reinstated. There may also be fines owed on prior late payments and a requirement to pay three months dues in advance. If a suspended member attempts to make a payment through the credit card website, the full payment will be refunded via check from the suspended members local and will not be applied to their account.
Working Cards & Updated Dues Books: Members utilizing the internet to pay their dues via credit card have two options to getting their dues book updated and obtaining a current working card. First, they can send their book via mail to their financial secretary along with a self addressed stamped envelope and the local financial secretary will send the updated dues book back with a current working card. Alternatively, the member can have their dues book updated at the next local meeting they attend and may also receive their working card at that time.
Fines: It is a member’s obligation to pay all outstanding fines. If you do not know the amount of fines that you owe, you will need to contact your local financial secretary. When a member processes a payment through this site, all payments will be applied first to outstanding fines and then the remainder to dues. Therefore, if a member owes $5 in fines and makes a dues payment of one month’s dues on line, $5 of the payment will be applied against the fines and then the remainder to the dues, leaving the current month’s dues payment short by $5. The member would then be contacted by the local union that their current month’s dues were not paid in full.
Convenience Fee: When a credit card is used for payment, the credit card companies charge a per transaction fee as well as a percentage of the amount charged. In order for the locals to obtain the full amount of your dues payments an additional fee needs to be charged to cover the charges from the credit card company. In addition, there are costs associated with making this site available to accept payments. The convenience fee will be used to offset these operating costs. The Council will not make any profit from charging the convenience fees. To the extent that convenience fees exceed the operating costs of this program, the excess funds will be donated to the William Goldberg Scholarship Fund. The William Goldberg Scholarship Fund is established primarily to provide college scholarships to eligible members and the children of eligible members of the Ohio & Vicinity Regional Council of Carpenters.
Payments By Phone: Credit card payments will NOT be accepted over the phone. Credit card payments will ONLY be accepted on line.
