Northwest Region Training
Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee
The Joint Apprenticeship Training Committee also known as JATC is the Northwest Ohio Regional Office training center. At the JATC the instructors teach the apprentices the skills that are needed to become a journeyperson. Journeymen also attend upgrading classes here to further educate themselves to be more employable.
Apprenticeship Training
The apprentices attend courses during the year. The programs are a four-year curriculum. Apprentices also work on job sites with journeypersons to learn skills. The JATC feels that not only will apprentices learn from attending classes but they will also learn from journeypersons. After the apprentice has completed the four year program, he/or she will become a journeyperson.
Journeymen Upgrading
Journeypersons upgrading classes are also available at the JATC. Keeping yourself up to date with the changing technology will help you keep working.
If you are interested in becoming an apprentice or would like to take a journeypersons upgrade class, please contact the JATC at (419) 872-4651, e-mail us at coordinator@nwocarpjatc.org or stop in and see us at: 9270 E.
